Mr Glen Crosse
Glen has a BCom Honours degree from the University of Port Elizabeth, now Nelson Mandela University, where he majored in the accounting sciences. He is a finance professional with over 20 years of experience in the automotive manufacturing industry, where he has held many finance management positions. Having had the opportunity to work in many diverse areas of the business, Glen has gained significant skills and work experience, enabling him to add-value and help move his organisation forward. With a strong appreciation for governance and internal controls, he believes that while good governance and compliance is critical to an organisation, it should never overwhelm an organisation’s structure. Glen hopes to bring his experience in commerce to help grow and support SST’s critical objectives.

Glen started his career at Delta Motor Corporation (General Motors South Africa) in 1998 in the Company Fleet division and was soon promoted to the role of Pricing Analyst in Product Finance. He spent several years working on a project team in a matrix environment where he progressed to supervisory roles and senior management. He was then appointed to the position of Manager Internal Control, where he was responsible for setting up a formal Internal Control department and implementing SOX at GM South Africa. During this time, he was responsible for overseeing internal audit, compliance, governance and secretarial functions. He also assisted a fellow subsidiary in Kenya to roll out a set of Internal Controls, to improve their control environment. Thereafter he moved into the Controller’s area where he focused on accounting for inventory and costing, Component Exports, APDP claims, Logistics Finance and Sales Allowances. He then joined Opel South Africa as the country Finance Manager and thereafter an automotive component manufacturer as Finance Manager.
