Operation Clean Spot Readies for Launch

Do you want to live in a clean city? Do you want to take a Sunday stroll through your neighbourhood and not have to turn a blind eye to the plastic bottle lying on the verge or your neighbour’s green grass? What about if, on your next Sunday stroll, instead of walking past that bottle, you actually picked it up?

This is what the latest project of Sustainable Seas Trust, Operation Clean Spot, is asking individuals, businesses, organisations, and the like to do: take ownership of your spot, the area where you work, sleep, eat and play, and rid that spot of litter. Operation Clean Spot aims to rid Nelson Mandela Bay of 90% of the mismanaged litter load that currently plagues our streets, parks, and neighbourhoods by 2023.  SST encourages you, your family, your company, or your school, to play an active role in achieving this goal.

Operation Clean Spot will be launching during the week of 19 – 25 April 2021, but your ability to be involved extends well beyond this. Head on over to our site, adopt your spot, and get cleaning! Please contact us for any questions or queries you may have.
