Dealing with Marine Waste – South Africa-Norway Science Week 2017

Last year, Dr. Tony Ribbink represented the African Marine Waste Network (AMWN) at the South Africa-Norway Science Week of 2017 (SW2017) during the Green Maritime Seminar. A plenary session (followed by a discussion panel) was held, entitled “Dealing with Marine Waste”, where Dr. Ribbink (a co-chair) spoke on the role of South Africa in finding solutions for Africa. This was followed by a series of workshops where Dr. Ribbink (also co-chairing) worked in collaboration with the CSIR to develop ideas on the way forwards.

The report from this plenary session and workshop is available here.

This report is also available on the Norwegian Embassy website at the Green Maritime Seminar.
